Prescriptions

If you are on long term regular medication you will be given a repeat prescription slip by the doctor and details of these medicines will be entered on the practice computer. The computer will be used to issue your repeat prescriptions which allows monitoring by the doctor.

Prescriptions may be ordered:

  • Via Patient Access
  • At a pharmacy by their repeat prescription ordering and collection service (please check with your local pharmacist)
  • You can phone your pharmacist and order your prescription from them if you have set up that service with them.
  • By ticking your required items on your prescription re-order slip and posting in the dedicated repeat prescription box in the entrance porch
  • By filling in an order form at the entrance porch and posting in the dedicated prescription box
  • By sending by post the slip to the surgery
  • Emailing fife.f21261-rx-requests@nhs.scot
  • NHS Fife Pharmacy Services ask that you allow 7 days from ordering your prescription to collecting your medication at the Pharmacy

Acute (not on your re-order repeat list) Prescriptions

If your want to request something that isn’t on repeat, please submit a request via email fife.f21261-rx-requests@nhs.scot or fife.f21261scoonie@nhs.scot or by speaking with your local pharmacist. It would be helpful if you could include as much information as possible about the reason for the medication requested.

WE NO LONGER TAKE REQUESTS FOR MEDICATIONS OVER THE TELEPHONE, PLEASE USE ONE OF THE OTHER METHODS
